“Teaching was my first love, but fate had other plans for me. After an unfortunate incident forced me to switch careers, I felt lost. However, I’ve always had a creative bent of mind and an eye for aesthetics. So I decided to bet on myself and learn web design from scratch. It was incredibly difficult at first – the coding concepts seemed so alien. Many nights I stayed up watching tutorial videos, practising projects, and reading forums to understand it all. Slowly but surely, things started to click.
Eventually I got hired as a web designer. It was thrilling to see my work go live online! The feedback from my clients was encouraging. But I yearned to do more than just bringing websites to life visually. I wanted to dive deeper into user experiences and interfaces. So during my free time, I started learning UX/UI design.
A close friend who knew my aspirations told me about AtliQ Technologies. She said they were looking for a UI/UX designer. I was very nervous during the multiple interview rounds. But I guess AtliQ saw my potential, because they offered me the job! Joining AtliQ marked a turning point in my career. For the first time, I felt truly challenged at work – but in the best way possible. I was entrusted with end-to-end ownership of complex design projects. Every day I learned new skills and techniques. My confidence as a designer grew tremendously.
Equally important was AtliQ’s emphasis on work-life balance. I could pursue hobbies again and spend quality time with family. I even took out time to focus on improving my physical & mental health. The renewed sense of wellbeing made me even more creative at work! It’s rare to find a company that cares deeply about employee happiness.
My journey from my previous company to AtliQ was daunting initially. But AtliQ believed in me. The compassionate work culture and stimulating projects have made this the best job of my life. I’m grateful that AtliQ helped me spread my wings and fly as a UI/UX designer.
Now I look forward to each new day of creative challenges!”
“In my early career, I worked at organizations with very structured and process-driven work cultures. Everything was by the book – strict clock-in times, set workflows, and narrow work scopes focused on executing repetitive projects. The priority was delivering specified outcomes on time. While this provided good training, the regulated environment allowed little flexibility or room for creativity, personal growth, or team bonding. Spontaneity was rare and out-of-the-box thinking was unconventional. The work hours were intense but interactions outside core work were minimal. Changing jobs was the only avenue for advancement or gaining exposure to newer skills. Eventually, I felt the need to expand my horizons and experience a more dynamic and collaborative work culture.
At my earlier job, after dedicating over a year, I realized our expectations were misaligned when they couldn’t accommodate my important personal needs. Though disheartened, it furthered my resolve to find an employer that valued me holistically – both professionally and personally. A friend introduced me to AtliQ, then a promising startup with no design team. I took a chance, interviewed, and was excited to be selected as their first designer.
Transitioning from my previous company to AtliQ marked a transformational shift in my career. This opportunity allowed me to build the design function from scratch and make an impact from day one. Here, I have the flexibility to manage my work hours and take time off when needed. The 5 day work week helps me maintain a healthy work-life balance where I can spend quality time with family and pursue hobbies like playing cricket, going for walks, and meeting up with friends.
Today, after 5 wonderful years, I head the graphic design department. What I love most about AtliQ is the management support, great work environment, and opportunities for personal growth through seminars, one-on-one monthly meetings, and self-learning. I feel valued as an employee here and am proud to be part of the AtliQ family. Leaving my previous job was difficult but it led me to an employer who appreciates me. I’m glad I took the chance with a startup like AtliQ and have seen it grow over the years with my career growth.”
